Overview:

Many businesses need to raise money from members of the public to fund their growth. Raising money likely involves compliance with Securities Laws. Private Placements are a part of the Securities Regulations which allow the least regulated portion of the Securities laws. Securities laws are always changing and sponsors of fund raising activities often fear that they will violate Securities Laws when they raise money from outside investors. The Securities laws are complicated, always changing, and Sponsors are uncertain of what laws apply to them in their fundraising activities. Because of uncertainty, Sponsors who need to access capital from outside investors may often not proceed with the fundraising they need.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • Discuss the Current Securities laws
  • Demonstrate the effect of proposed changes in the Securities laws
  • Alert attendees to mistakes that Sponsors make

Who Will Benefit:

  • Any Individual
  • Group, or Business who needs to raise money from outside investors
