Overview:

Assembling a truly diversified 401k portfolio is more than simply cobbling together 5 or 6 mutual funds.  True diversification involves selecting mutual funds that focus on different types of “asset classes”.  This webinar helps investors recognize-and then wisely utilize-the different asset classes available to them in their 401k account.

Why you should Attend:

401k participants often select redundant mutual funds in their 401k accounts. Doing so works against the goal of building a diversified 401k portfolio because it makes the portfolio “one dimensional” and unnecessarily vulnerable to market drops.

This webinar will review the important characteristics of a diversified 401k portfolio and how any person can make their 401k portfolio more stable.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • Review of historical returns for various asset classes
  • How the performance of various asset classes is correlated (historically)
  • Performance of various 401k portfolios based on different asset allocation models
  • Risk comparison of a poorly diversified 401k portfolio against a well diversified 401k portfolio
  • Examples of well diversified 401k portfolio using actual funds from Vanguard and Fidelity

Who Will Benefit:

  • Any Person with a 401k Account
